The Student Ambasadors

Role The Student Ambassador program is a sub-committee of MYAC that is co-chaired by the Director of Communications and the Director of Membership Affairs. Both Directors chooses a select group of current student leaders with a mandate to act as a liaison from across school campuses in Mississauga to MYAC. More specifically, not only do they represent MYAC but also, they encourage current and prospective students to attend MYAC meetings. Through their dedication, imagination, and initiative, the Student Ambassadors are creating a legacy of leadership and success that will resonate with MYAC for decades to come.
Responsibility Every school in Mississauga will have one (1) or two (2) Student Ambassadors in which they are required to attend every MYAC General Meeting and encourage Youth from their schools to attend as well. In addition, Student Ambassadors are strongly encouraged to bring their school issues to be discussed at MYAC General Meetings.
Student Ambassadors will assist MYAC with events. Furthermore, Student Ambassadors will be able to provide their schools with volunteer opportunities so that students in Mississauga can finish their diploma requirement of completing 40 community service hours.
