Student Ambassadors
Every school in Mississauga will have one or two Student Ambassadors. These selected people should attend every MYAC meeting and encourage youth from their schools to attend as well. Student Ambassadors will assist MYAC with Youth Week, the 25th MYAC Anniversary, and other MYAC events. Ambassadors are encouraged to bring their school issues to be discussed at MYAC General Meetings. Furthermore, Student Ambassadors will be able to provide their schools with volunteer opportunities so that students in Mississauga can finish their diploma requirement of completing 40 community service hours.
Youth Task Force
Youth Task Force is a unique sub-committee with a mandate to raise awareness of issues important to youth and to advocate for change in a positive direction. The Task Force consists of 16 members, representing high schools from all over Mississauga, and are selected by the Chairperson and Director of Government Affairs from a handful of applicants. At the beginning of every term, MYAC general members vote on what issue the Task Force should deal with.
