| Role | The Youth Week Committee (YWC) is a sub-committee of MYAC that is co-chaired by the Chairperson and the Vice Chairperson. This committee will organize one of MYAC's largest endeavours: Mississauga's Youth Week 2011. This is an annual week-long mosaic of Mississauga's spirit of giving aims to not only celebrate the extraordinary contributions and achievements of the city's youth, but also to transform today's youth into tomorrow's leaders, further the reaches of volunteerism and promote political activism on local and global issues. |
| Responsibility |
1. The Youth Week Committee consists of 20 dynamic, energetic, and visionary members, representing schools from all over Mississauga, and is selected by the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from a handful of applicants. 2. The chosen members will channel their efforts towards nurturing the sense of community that the Mayor has cultivated across the city for years. 3. Preparation of exhaustive lists concerning various details such as invitees list, venue preferences, party timings, preferred cuisine etc. 4. Planning and organizing the entertaining activities 5. Playing an interactive role between the client and various other workers and establishing a fine balance between them. |

| Commitment Expectations |
1. Attend MYAC's general monthly meetings 2. Attend YWC meetings scheduled by the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson 3. Respect any commitments they make to Youth Week colleagues and MYAC 4. Average 10 - 20 hours per month of activity (according to their schedule) |
